MMS has established a strategic collaboration partnership with Victoria STS (Labuan) Sdn Bhd (Victoria STS), a subsidiary of Straits Inter Logistics Bhd (SILB) for the development of an integrated offshore ship-to-ship (STS) energy transhipment hub within the port limits of Victoria Bay, Labuan. MMS has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Victoria STS to facilitate further definitive agreements when the STS hub materialized.
Victoria Bay is strategically located along the international shipping and energy trade routes.
The STS hub will be SILB’s energy flagship project located within the port limits of Victoria Bay deepwater area, spanning a vast 3309 hectares supporting an initial six STS berths with safe water depths of up to 30 meters.
The development will advance the introduction of multi-functional energy transhipment facilities that will accommodate liquified natural gas (LNG) carriers, from Q-Max LNG carrier-class to very large crude carriers (VLCC).
