Following MMS’ successful Contractors HSSE Engagement in 2020, MMS held its second virtual Engagement on 25 August 2021. More than 110 participants joined the Engagement session which crafted as an excellent avenue for both MMS, its contractors, and partners to share and reflect on their HSSE performance. It also served as a platform to reinforce their alignment and commitment towards HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) excellence.
Contractors and partners who demonstrated exemplary performance in stepping up safety leadership behaviours in delivering their services to MMS, were awarded with the MMS HSSE Excellence Awards. This year, MMS introduced two new awards: Best UCUA and Best HSSE Personality. These awards aim to recognise and acknowledge outstanding individuals that have been remarkable in their commitment in making significant contributions in HSSE and nurturing HSSE culture in their respective organisations.
Through the strategic collaboration with its contractors, MMS has achieved significant milestones in its HSSE track record as follows:
-
Successfully handled over 54,000 vessels of up to 350,000 DWT, with no major incidents reported
-
Delivered over 14.1 million safe man-hours with Zero Lost Time Injury since 1999.
-
Year to date record of Zero Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate and Zero Total Recordable Case Frequency.
-
MMS aims to conduct these engagement sessions regularly in the future to promote greater collaboration and to ensure sustainability of HSSE excellence.
